Those VBCC members fortunate enough to attend this year’s annual Christmas party were treated to a full evening of fun and delectable food.
The festivities started with happy hour and impromptu entertainment, followed by a piping-hot, delicious traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and finished off with an overwhelming array of scrumptious desserts.
Before the main meal, diners were led in a carol sing by Richard, and between dinner and dessert, Nick entertained us with a poetry reading.
We thank our new Kitchen Hospitality/Social Team Leader Kathy Moi Barker and President Anita McCaw–not only for organizing volunteers to handle all aspects of the event: meal prep, table decorating, serving drinks, laying out food/ desserts and cleaning up afterwards–but for spending all day in the kitchen as main cooks.
What a memorable way to celebrate the holiday season.
