A decorating party banished the COVID blues Friday morning. Within an hour, VLBC members erected a lovely new floor-to-ceiling Christmas tree (donated by Barb), decorated walls and window sills with garlands, bobbles, bows and hand-made Christmas ornaments, and hung the icicle lights from the valance boards.
After a quick cleanup, the crew enjoyed a festive lunch: cranberry turkey buns prepared by Annie and Anita’s shortbread and mince tarts. Thank you everyone.
The colorful ambiance will be enjoyed by winter activity groups throughout December and provide a warm backdrop for our annual Christmas dinner on the 15th. If only we could get that fireplace to throw off some heat!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
