Despite poor air quality caused by US wildfires, ten teams went ahead with the Scotch Pairs Tournament on Friday. Wind cleared the air somewhat by the afternoon making play more enjoyable. Competitors played three 10-end/4 bowl games. Skips and Leads switched positions after the 5th end.
The winners with 7 points were Anita McCaw and Gopala Gowda. 2nd and 3rd place with 6 points each was decided by differential: 2nd Nick Geerdink and Libby Weiser and 3rd Ross Sands and Sharon Hoffman.
